Wedding Day Video Guide

Weddings are full of emotion, energy, chaos, tenderness, weird little moments, and everything in between.

Our goal is to walk into your day with open eyes and document it honestly. The stuff you planned, and the stuff you could never plan.

We approach wedding films with a documentary mindset. We’re always watching, listening, and anticipating. We don’t want to over-direct the day or turn it into something it’s not. The best thing you can do is be present with each other and the people you love.

Getting Ready

While you’re getting ready, we’ll arrive and start documenting the atmosphere and the early morning anticipation.

We’ll also use this time to film details like accessories, invitations, rings, clothing, notes, and anything meaningful.

Multiple copies of your invitations, dress + veil, shoes, accessories, rings, perfume, vows, heirlooms, or anything else that feels important to the day.

Ceremony

Audio is a huge part of how we tell the story of your wedding. We capture clean sound during the ceremony, speeches and any other important moments throughout the day.

We may place small microphones on one or both of you during the ceremony, as well as on the officiant when possible. For speeches, we’ll either connect to the DJ’s sound system, place recorders near the speakers, or use a combination of both depending on the setup.

Good audio helps us preserve the parts of the day you’ll want to hear again.

Ceremony

During the ceremony, we keep things as discreet as possible. Our priority is to document what’s happening without disrupting the experience for you and your guests.

We’ll move when we need to, stay out of the way when we should, and focus on the real emotion of the ceremony as it unfolds.

Should our ceremony be unplugged?

An unplugged ceremony can be a great idea. Guests are more present, there are fewer distractions, and your film won’t be filled with phones or people leaning into the aisle for a shot.

That said, it’s completely up to you. We’ll work around whatever the day gives us. Our job is to document.

Family Moments

Before the wedding, we’ll ask about any important family members, relationships, or dynamics we should be aware of.

We look for movement, connection, hugs, reactions, laughter, tears, and your guests mannerisms.

If there are specific family moments or people you really want represented in the film, let us know ahead of time so we can keep an eye out for them.

Portraits

We capture the two of you together in a way that feels relaxed and natural.

We’ll give gentle direction when needed, but we’re not here to force anything. A lot of it is just creating space for you two to slow down and to be yourselves.

Wedding Party

Capturing wedding party is very important to us because they are the closest people to you.

We approach wedding party as the other key people to your film, so many moments here.

Reception

The reception is where the day usually loosens up in the best way.

We’ll be documenting the atmosphere, speeches, reactions, dinner moments, dances and everything else. This part of the day involves lots watching on our end. Waiting for special moments and family and friends to meet for the first time.

After the Wedding

After your wedding, we back everything up on multiple hard drives and begin organizing your footage immediately.
Your wedding film is built from audio and music at its core. We take our time shaping everything into something that is true to you.

Your final wedding film will be delivered within 10-15 weeks of your wedding. You’ll receive an email with access to your online gallery once everything is ready.

If your package includes additional edits, such as a full ceremony, full speeches, teaser, or documentary edit, those will be delivered through the same online gallery.

If you have any questions or details you want to go over, you can always reach out.
